The Gobi rack has dramatic wind noise in it's current configuration. Further research shows that changing the fairing's angle may decrease the sound. Well I did just that and made the angle more acute and the noise now has decreased some and starts at 40mph instead of at 30mph. Ultimately the sound should dramatically decrease with the installation of driving lights.
So should I go PIAA or DELTA?? the only problem is california state law dictates driving lights be covered while on the highway. The PIAAs have covers available, but still can't find out if the Delta covers exist. also the PIAAs are dramatically more expensive than everything else. Stay Tuned!
