Installation?

The family fell asleep quite early this evening, so I had alotta time on my hands. Without another hand available I thought it would be a daunting task, so I originally planned to just prepare the FJ for accepting the rack. I removed all the screws from the OEM rack and wrapped all the legs with packing Styrofoam, then carefully removed the rack. (I was surprised that I was able to remove it myself from one side without having to drag it across the roof). I then sat in my garage and it was about 11:00pm. All the brackets were in place and prepared for accepting the Gobi the next day. Then looking around the garage and the large cardboard box, I came up with a strategy to get the rack on the FJ myself. (I was anxious to see my FJ with the rack I guess) I removed the brackets from the passenger side of the car, and layed multiple large cardboard pieces on top of the roof, insulated with Styrofoam sheets. Then layed another large piece over the back of the roof and extending over the rear tire. I put the rack on my back and gently layed it over the cardboard that was over the spare, then slid it upward and over and the cardboard slid as planned. Next step was to mount the rack to one side then install and mount the other side. WALA! all done and it was 12:30am!!!
