This last week I have had an unusual increase in the number of situation that had required me to use my horn, and under each circumstance the horn seemed inadequate. I initially obtained a secondary Toyota horn to supplement the terrible main horn, but it just didn't cut it. I then purchased some Hella horns about 2 months ago but never got around to installing them until this weekend. I could no longer stand people not noticing me! (someone tried to steal a parking space from me in front of 99 Ranch Market, and I honked like crazy! I had to get out of my car to confront them!)
These are the original horns. One was located in front of the radiator, the other was over the passenger wheel well
I replaced them with these Hella horns! I installed both of them in front of the radiator.
Now the volume is there and commands attention. I just need to orient them a different way in order to 1. prevent airflow to the radiator, 2. limit the redness that comes through the front grill.
