While in Hawaii, I had purchased some speakers to replace the current FJ speakers which people have said are cheap and crappy. Using some suggestions found on a Bulletin board, I purchased some Rockford Fosgate P132C 3.5” 2-way coaxial speakers to replace the front dashboard speakers and rear pillar speakers.
The front installation went without a hitch, and sounded awesome. Brought more depth and imaging to the factory system. The rear speakers were another story. The rear grills were easily removed, but the rear 2.5” speakers were mounted on brackets which are not easily removed. I tried to figure out a way to remove the brackets without success. I’ll try to figure out a game plan before proceeding, or should I just leave it alone?
